using a file that you can down load on the internet. you can actually down load it right here. i have one on my computer. it makes me wonder about the next time nbc comes and checks my computer. this is what happens when a person fits a lower receiver on a gun that is not regulated when they printed it with a 3d printer. this is the video they released of themselves firing bullets out of it. as you can see, the 3d gun failed and busted apart after it fired about six rounds, which makes it yes, a gun, but the technical term for what kind of gun it is is it is a crappy gun because it blew apart. but this kind of thing is not going to stay a crappy gun for long. not when you can get this far with stuff you can find around the house. for all the work that has gone into thinking about who is allowed to have a gun in america and where you can buy one and what kinds of guns people are allowed to have, that all kind of goes out the window. people can just down load their chosen weapon at home and have it made manifests at their desk, as a fully functioning real-life weapon. we are not far off

details for us. eamon. >> reporter: hi, bill. that letter does call for the speaker to negotiate, including all options on the table. it is a bipartisan letter. we should be a little bit careful on this because the letter habit actually been sent yet, we're told by congressman mike simpson's office. he's the congressman circulating the letter. he's gathering signatures from other members of congress, as we speak. they expect to send this letter. i've talked to some conservative republicans today here on capitol hill who say their minds are not changed, and that's going to be the group that's most difficult for the speaker to negotiate. nonetheless, the fact there's such a letter being circulated probably gives speaker boehner more elbow room in his negotiations and might help him beat back a little brush fire he saw on the right wing yesterday for being criticized after offering up $800 billion in tax increases. meanwhile, the white house confirming it has directed the office of management and budget to prepare plans for these massive spending cuts that would come at the end of t

spending cuts. a lot coming out of defense. these are not long-term structural changes that will put us on a path to a balanced budget. that will not happen. melissa: the other thing that struck me about the graphic when you look at it, the threat from republicans hey, we would rather go over the cliff rather than take the president's deal, to me doesn't look terribly credible when you look at actual numbers. unless you take into perspective we're not really going over for 10 years. but it is just going over the cliff is so focused on raising taxes, on absolutely everybody and spending cuts are really not that impressive in terms of getting, you know, the gap down smaller. they say if you compare it to the white house plan they would rather go over the cliff. i'm not sure that is really credible given those numbers. what do you think?. >> way some republicans not all, growing number of republicans are looking at this, assigning blame to the president, making clear this is the president's plan and they don't have anything to do with it is politically more beneficial for them both in the
